Breaktime Bible Study: Deliver Me

Deliver Me

Deliver me from my enemies, O God; be my fortress against those who are attacking me. Psalm 59:1

Who needs deliverance from fear, anger, resentment, selfishness, judgment, etc.? Who needs to be freed from anxiousness and stress? Don’t we all have these enemies trying to take us down? They are annoying and are determined to take our eyes off of our fortress. Imagine God being the stable tower−the actual place we run and find our strength and comfort.

Imagine a life freed from depression and anxiousness. God wants to deliver us from the enemies trying to consume us. We all can recognize them, but are we running to God for our strength? Here are the words of truth for the mind that is struggling to find answers.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. I John 4:4

We have within us the victory to overcome −to keep ourselves from being held down by the weight of the enemy. Greater is the One living in us than any battle we may face in the world. Will we rely on the victory God is providing us? Will we rely on the open door to victory God is offering? Come to God as you are and invite Him in the areas you need deliverance.
