Breaktime Bible Study: Do You Smell That

Do you smell that?

All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces adorned with ivory the music of the strings makes you glad.

Psalm 45:8

Every part of Jesus fills the senses of those who love Him. There is nothing about Jesus that would bring stench to our nostrils. Nothing will ever cause us to think of Him in any way other than lovely as Jesus is who fills a room with a sweet aroma.

Jesus and His sweet fragrance are needed in a world filled with the stench of sin. We all know the smell of evil and when its fumes linger what damage it can cause. We all may have even experienced taking part in its demise. Sin stinks and the motive behind it is where the real odor resides.

When Jesus walks into our lives, He takes away the stench of sin. He now resides in us and all the fragrance of His beauty. Living in unity with the sense of His presence will exude from us and defeat the stench of sin. Be the one who pours out the aroma of Christ wherever you are.
