Breaktime Bible Study: A Strong Tower

A Strong Tower

For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. Psalm 61:3

Have you ever been in a place where you felt overwhelmed and anxious? Have you ever felt that if God doesn’t save you, life is going to overcome you? This is precisely the place where David found God surrounding him, for he knew God is in the now. He knew God as being ever-present and the very presence he needed to carry him through.

Friends, we don’t have to live in fear and be overcome with the world's cares and concerns. We don’t have to be overwhelmed with fear of the what-if's of life. We are invited every moment to live in the knowledge of God, who is, as David describes, a strong tower.

God is always available, and when we call out, He is there. God is the One constant that is still present. We don’t have to wait to find our strong tower if we humble ourselves and admit our need. When the enemy comes our way, we have a way of escape. God is always our strength.
