Breaktime Bible Study: Wake Up

Wake Up

8 Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. Psalm 57:8

Don’t you feel your soul needs awakening? Have you ever felt like your faith is lethargic? Do you crave the things of God, or have you slowly lost interest? Have you found yourself slowly molding into the ways of the world without much regret? Have you started believing what you hear and see without even considering the voice of God? Becoming distant from God happens slowly.

If we aren't cautious, we can have a slow spiritual fade. We can lose the interest of daily and minute by minute walking with God. The kind of fade that gives away to becoming content trying to find truth in the world apart from God.

Like David, let us cry out for our soul to awake. Let us cry out for our soul to become awakened and desire God before we, too, become content with the ways of the world. We friends need to cry out for an awakening until our soul is hungry for God.
