Breaktime: Will We Tell?
Will we Tell
With your hand you drove out the nations and planted our ancestors; you crushed the peoples and made our ancestors flourish. Psalm 44:2
In the day of this Psalm, the hottest news off the press is the restoration of God’s people. They were enslaved and shackled, but God rescued them and set them free. They flourished because of the hand of God, not because of their doing. His vine of people began to grow, and those who set out to destroy them God uprooted. He goes before His nation.
We should put this on our daily news-press. So much temporary power gets attention today, which can overwhelm the listener. If we take God out of the news today, we can all become overwhelmed. However, when we reflect on the truth of who God is over our nation, a sense of peace begins to rise. God is the One in control and always has been.
However, if we look around and see the chaos, we can begin to wonder what God is doing. But we must remember friends; He has come to set the captives free. Today is the day of salvation, for His work through Jesus is complete for the redemption of the land. The truth of deliverance is needed on the press, and we are the ones who are called to share this news. The hand of God expressed the saving power for our world through Jesus. Will we tell the world our good news story?
