Breaktime: Pass it On

Pass it On

We have heard it with our ears, O God; our ancestors have told us

what you did in their days, in days long ago. Psalm 44:1

The Psalmist remembers the greatness of God, which is passed down through the ancestors. The stories of how God saved Israel through the years and how God’s hands moved through generations is an inspiration which continues to change us today.

They didn’t have the media we do to tell of the wonders of God, but they had their voices. The acts of God spread through the generations because of faithful followers who couldn’t keep it silent. We can get so focused on what we think God should be doing that we can become blinded to what He is doing.

We have a great need in our generation of the acts of God. Things of this world are getting loud, and people are looking for protection and answers for today’s chaos. Friends, we have heard of the miracles of God, and we know of his saving power for our nation. Are we passing it on to the next generation? Let us be the ancestors who continue repeating praises of the greatness of God.
