Breaktime: Coming out of Hiding
Come out of Hiding
I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly. Psalm 40:10
It was difficult for David to remain silent as his heart contained answers for others he rubbed up against. He was amazed at the help God could provide, so he did not conceal God’s love and faithfulness. It didn’t mean he became dogmatic and preachy, but he allowed the words of truth to roll from his tongue.
Speaking from the source of righteousness within us could give others the answer they have been searching for. God has given us a daily contact to share his help. When we live our faith every day, we can look at all the people God has placed across our paths. Pay attention to their needs and use the supply God has given you to meet their every need.
One of the ways we can keep love from being concealed is to give it away. Love is created for us to give away because it is a transforming force which lives within us. Can we say like David, that we do not conceal Gods love but truly show it? One of the most significant ways we can be a testimony of God’s love is by coming out of hiding. We can use God as the reason to hide behind His love.
