Breaktime: Ears Are Open

Ears are Open
Then I said, “Here I am, I have come—it is written about me in the scroll. Psalm 40:7

David’s ears were now opened, and he now knew a whole new life in submission to God. His hope was now in the will of God and living in relationship with God kept David’s ears open to hear what God is saying. Jesus lived in perfect harmony with the Father and He took his direction from what the Lord was saying. The Word is filled in detail about what is written about Him.

Many things have been written about our Savior and what is written is for us to hear. Therefore, when God opens our eyes and ears, we begin to see with a new heart of reasoning. This new opening allows us to hear the voice of God through His Word and His ways. Many times in our lives, God is trying to speak to us but there is just simply too much noise in our head to hear Him.

To develop any relationship, we have to learn to listen to each other and there is nothing different in our communion with God. He desires our attention and for our ears to be open and ready to listen to Him speak. We can learn from Jesus by getting away from the noise and being alone with the Father.

35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. 36 Simon and his companions went to look for him, Mark 1:35-36
