Breaktime:

“Hope in the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.” Psalm 37:34

Is there any greater feeling of despair than hopelessness? When we lose hope, our spirit can become crushed and it is difficult to breathe life into a soul which has been crushed. David tells us to hope in the Lord and keep his way and then in God’s timing, we will see the victory.

We may not have the same enemies David experienced but our enemies can affect us the same way. His advice stands true today and when we are falling into despair, hope is the way out. When we begin to allow our emotions and circumstances to dictate our way, we will end up hopeless. Our hope is not found in our situations or even in our emotions, it’s found only in the Lord. Hope is the truth that speaks of all God’s promises and lifts us up.

There is another truth which gives strength to our hope, keeping His way. When we allow God to lead our life, we find hope. He exalts those who seek after Him and there are many things God wants to reveal to us when we allow ourselves to be led. Remain in what He has said and find all the hope we could possibly need.
