Getting out of the Trap

Getting out of the Trap
Those who want to kill me set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they scheme and lie. Psalm 38:12

David now experienced another level of agony. It wasn’t enough he suffered the affliction of sin and iniquity and his friends bailing on him but now the enemy threw gas on the fire. The enemy now begins to bring in those who want to harm David and try to crush him while he is down. The enemy tries really hard to keep him down while he is down.

Doesn’t that sound familiar? Doesn’t it seem like the enemy knows when we are at our wit's end, then he brings in more adversity? The plan is to trip us up so we will renounce our faith for his plan is to kill, steal and destroy. However, the good news is Jesus came so we can have life and have it to the full. This does not mean we won’t have troubles but when we do, we can rely on His fullness of grace.

Many times, when traps are set before us by the enemy, we may fall into them. It might be a season of weakness has overtaken us just like David. It is never too late to ask for help out of the trap and it’s never too late to turn towards God and ask for assistance. We must be cautious that the trap isn’t overtaking us, and the enemy is gaining his ground. The Lords' hand is there so look to Him for the way out. We can do this when we stop complaining and becoming cynical of the place we are and ask for His help. Many things may happen to us, but no one can control how we handle this situation except us.
