Plotting Evil

The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; Psalm 37:12

When we begin to plot against someone, we are making an intentional effort to bring harm. David says the wicked plot against the righteous. Their enemy is us and we are the target of their attack. David knew this all too well considering he was being chased and hunted on many occasions. David knew God was his only way out of the wicked plotting against him. He didn’t consider revenge as an option but knowing and walking with God was his answer.

It's not an oversimplified approach of allowing and knowing God in every situation or we all would be daily entering into life victoriously. Winning in life is by God’s design which often contradicts the approach of the world. Walking and seeking God in daily living will keep us plotting our life according to God’s plan instead of against others.

The solution to wickedness is prayer.

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous Mt.5:43-45

God’s plan is to turn the evil plots into His glory. When we allow evil to become a burden we carry, we are putting our strength in the wrong place.
