Breaktime: Letting Go of Evil

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. Psalm 37:27

We are surrounded by evil every day and while some is obvious, some not so much. Evil can sneak in and deceive us into believing and justifying its action. However, we are tempted but the promise is God will provide a way out for us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Mt. 6:14

Deliverance from the evil around is needed each day of our lives. God continues to give us the strength to pursue Him during times of temptation. He is the one showing us the way out and reminds us to turn away from evil. We no longer must pay attention to the evil around us, but we can purse goodness. When our focus is goodness, we will seek Him.

The question becomes, are we willing to be led out of temptation and evil. If we continue to place our efforts in evil, we will produce the same product. Likewise, if we sow good, our lives will reflect goodness. We know when we abandon evil and its practices, the quality of life changes. We can turn towards God and find the way out because God is pursuing us.

Today in the Workplace:

Is there any temptation that you need to abandon? Ask God to show you His way out.
