The Wisdom of Old

The Wisdom of the Old

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. Psalm 37:25

David now an old man has had many experiences and has walked closely with the Lord. His mature strength has witnessed God keeping His people protected. He has seen many in great need emotionally and physically and yet has witnessed God’s faithfulness.

There is something encouraging about someone who has been there and learns from their experiences. David has been through the fire and has watched God’s hands provide at just the right time. For him to witness the Lord never forsaking the righteous is a promise we can cling too. We can be assured more powerfully of our Lord’s faithfulness because we can see through David’s eyes.

What is our testimony saying? How have we witnessed God’s faithfulness in our journey? These answered questions are living through helping others see God’s love and grace. We each have a story and the older we get the clearer God should be experienced through us, simply because of what we have seen.
