Breaktime: Shining

“He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Psalm 37:6

This is the reward we have for being committed and trusting in God −He takes care of our reputation. God is the One who has our back and others will notice our righteousness, not so we can be acclaimed, but so God can be glorified.

It should be as clear as the dawn whom we stand for. There should be no question before others where our trust rests. Even in the darkest of hours, the light should be shining. Our faith brings forth such light that darkness is diminished. Our very presence should reflect towards the world whom we trust and our commitment.

There may be others who question our sincerity of faith, but one thing is certain: we need to keep standing in Him- the truth. Darkness is diminished when light is revealed. There is something comforting about knowing God is the One making our light shine. God is the One who can see directly in the Heart of all men, and He is One shining out of the righteous. When we try to shine our deeds before others the reward is already been awarded. Allow God to make His light shine through you. It comes back to the motive, the why. If our heart is committed to God daily and trusting in His ways, He will make His light shine.
