Breaktime: Fear No More

Fear No More
“See how the evildoers lie fallen— thrown down, not able to rise!” Psalm 36:12

We are surrounded by evil every day, however we also know God is not overcome. He is an all-powerful and all-knowing God and without the realization of who He is, we are tempted to walk in fear. We can become so focused on the evil surrounding us that the emotion of fear becomes more fearful than God.

David believed through his eyes of faith that the enemy had fallen. David’s eyes were upon the victory instead of the enemy. He also by faith, knew the answer to his victory and it wasn’t by fearing this opponent but by turning towards God. He didn’t allow the opposition to determine his mood, emotions or his thoughts. David gave himself over to God and minute by minute allowed God to determine His steps.

What a victorious life we would lead if we stayed focused on what God has already done. David saw His enemies not being able to move and saw them defeated. This may take some time and work in our life because we may be held captive to the weapons of the enemy and held by their force. Jesus has broken their force over our life and has set the captives free.

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, Luke 4:18
