Breaktime: A Call to Act

A Call to Act

Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land. Psalm 45:16

The church has a purpose and mission, and when on target, there will be disciple-making throughout the land. There will be princes and princesses made in the royal priesthood. A church on the move understands this call and will continue on mission for the King.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19,20

The calling is simple for the church and yet difficult to practice daily. We can become very comfortable with those in the church, but we soon forget those outside the church. We soon lose a passion for reaching out to the people of God and make disciples.

However, if we realized every day is an opportunity to reach the world we live in, our passion would grow. God has called each of us to do our part as the body of Christ. The most significant way to go is realizing every step we take, noticing the people around us. There are no mistakes −God puts people across our path every day. Are we noticing them and allowing the Spirit in us to reach them?
