Breaktime: The Favor of God

The Favor of God

The city of Tyre will come with a gift, people of wealth will seek your favor. Psalm 45:12

The favor of God is something some have never experienced. Even though Christ has died for all, some will never walk in the favor, and grace God desires to give. Also, in this tremendous wealthy city of Tyre, the rich were coming to the church to seek the favor of God. Even those whose lives seemed materially content now turned and were coming, wanting a blessing.

When emptiness starts to fill our lives, many start running towards all kinds of vices to find fullness. Many will turn towards their job, sex, pleasure, money, or fame, trying to find the favor they want from their lives. But when it all turns them upside down, the hope is they will see Christ in the church as their answer.

God is more than an answer but a transformation for their way of life. When we meet God and all the favor He wants to give us, we can’t help but to seek Him. When others who have banked on the pleasure of this world fulfilling all their emptiness turn towards Christ, they realize how empty those desires are. This is the picture of this verse and what a beautiful view of our world today.
