Remaining Unbreakable

They do not speak peaceably, but devise false accusations against those who live quietly in the land. Psalm 35:20

The enemies of David made a career of trying to get him to falter. They were after his heart trying to get him to participate in their schemes. They didn’t like living at peace because they fed themselves off of conflict or drama and they came after those who were living quietly in the land.

Even today we face similar trials, we try to remain at peace but others around us are causing conflict. They may even direct their accusations against us. We may try and live quietly but then someone spreads rumors or tries to ruin our reputation.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18

Our role is to continue to seek peace which means we do our part and don’t participate by trying to get even, but like David, we talk with God. The Lord sees all and knows about betrayal and Jesus understands how others try to rob our peace as they may even try to get us to break. But remaining unbreakable is what God can help us through. Jesus was accused and yet remained true and He didn’t participate with badgering. Jesus can give us the same strength He had and we must live at peace. All we need to do is just ask.
