What are you Looking for?
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Psalm 34:10
Often the King of the forest is portrayed as the mighty lion. The fierceness of his untiring strength and courage keeps others fearing him. However, even in all his undying energy he can also grow weak and hungry. Even those who portray themselves as strong as steel come to a place of need and hunger. Even those who have the toughest exterior often have needs growing deep on the inside. Those that are greedy for power and influence soon find hunger overtaking them.
However, it is the simple minded believer who Jesus came to save and those who seek Him will find Him. He didn’t expect us to find the courage and strength we need for daily living apart from him. Yet the opposite is true, our needs take us to him daily for nourishment. He didn’t expect us to feed ourselves with the temporary influences of this world and He didn’t intend for us to fill our emptiness with strength from within.
It clearly states when we seek Him, we will lack no good thing for it is in the seeking, we find what we are looking for. The question then becomes what are you seeking in life?
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
The request is simple, seek God and find exactly what we need.
