What is Your Mind Saying?
Brandish spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Say to me,
“I am your salvation.” Psalm 35:3
Our minds can become troubled with defeat during times of persecution. When we are lacking, our mind can race to try to find the right answer. Even the mind can grow weary and convince us there is no way out, so we give in to defeat. David needed to hear the words “I am your salvation”.
We all need our minds to be convinced God is fighting our battles and we will not move from faith? Often the mind is exactly where the battle is raging war against the enemy. If the persecutor can plant doubt in our minds, the battle becomes even more difficult to win so if the mind focuses on the giant instead of faith, we may be losing.
The mind is a powerful resource which God has given each of us and he tells us in His Word, to take every thought captive to Him for our mind, as well as our heart, has been saved. We do have the mind of Christ but often we may allow our attention to be diverted to defeat. God is the way out our light and salvation and He knows the thoughts we are having and can deliver us by His very word of truth. Opening the Work of God allows truth to pour in to the mind and remind us again who we are. The Word of God reminds us who God is and the strength he can impart.
