The Greatest Rescue
The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. Psalm 34:22
God provides a way out for us who will choose the open door. It’s an open door each day and it will remain open for us to walk through. We often see the door but at times we walk right past its light only to experience darkness surrounding us.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. I Cor. 10:13
We all face temptation, the overcoming desire to participate in something less than the goodness of God. Temptations come in many forms and ways, the voice of pride, selfishness, greed, envy, jealousy, etc.. But Jesus stands there as a way for us as His tender hand leads us with His mercy to reveal we are not alone. His companionship and friendship are exactly the voice we need to hear.
We know it would be foolish to stand in the path of an oncoming storm and not take shelter. God is our shelter and He provides the peace and power to overcome all temptation. His word stands there before us asking us to participate with its truth and power. Will we take the way out today?
