"...but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth." Psalm 34:16
Just as God’s eyes are on the righteous, His eyes are against those who do evil. He can see the acts of the ungodly and can blot their name from the earth. God cannot tolerate evil. Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy, but Satan is still convincing others to follow.
What evil may consider powerful, they soon find themselves falling. God doesn’t stop them from their disgrace and shame unless they turn to Him. HE allows them to fall and hopefully, through the fall, they find that the way out is God. The prodigal son had to get to the end of himself before he realized home was a good place to belong. He turned from all his acts of evil and went home.
We live in a world filled with evil, but we can be thankful Jesus came to do away with sin. He appeared to take away sin, and when He appears to us we can daily choose to walk in the way of righteousness. He gives us the strength to resist the enemy. Jesus has already conquered the deeds of the enemy, so we too can walk in victory each day by turning towards the good we should do. It is daily choice to repent and turn towards God
