What Are Your Words Saying
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Psalm 34:13
One way to find a continuous pleasurable life is to keep your words filled with truth and grace. Words mirror our heart to others even if they are positive or negative. It is amazing how fast life can change by a few words spoken and words form in our mind to help us determine the direction in life.
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit Proverbs 18:21
When we love life and what God has given us, our words reflect back His love and grace to the world. Loving life is not about the circumstances but rather God’s love in our life. When we are in Christ, we reflect Him back to the world and one of the ways we mirror Him is through our words.
Watch over the condition of your heart by hearing the words you are speaking. If our words are filled with evil and lies, it’s time to do a checkup. The kind of examination which involves bringing ourselves humbly before God to see what has invaded our life. Many times, the heart can get hurt and after the hurt, instead of confessing its consequences and pain, we try and bury it only to find ourselves hurting others with our words. The only way to keep the tongue from evil is to live truthfully in Christ and with others.
