Romans chapter 8 is a favorite of many Christians, and for good reason - it is chock full of some of the most hope-filled verses in the Bible. If God is for us, who can be against us? Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. And right off the bat, in verse 1 we learn “Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
No condemnation. NONE! How often do the voices in my head tell me the exact opposite - that I’m not good enough, that my sins are just too much for the cross to overcome, that I’m not safe and secure in my Father’s arms, that I can’t really trust Him.
I’m so thankful the solid rock of God’s Word is there to combat the lies and boldly declare the truth! My devotional today comes from Max Lucado and is based on Romans 8:1; Max says -
No more division. No more separation. No more sacrifices. “No condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1).
Need hope today? Open the Word and let Romans 8 fill your heart until it overflows!
