How to Wait
How to Wait
We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20
Not many of us enjoy waiting for something or someone but there are many ways we can wait such as: in anxiousness, in eager expectation, in anger, in disbelief. Well we all have our natural way of waiting and how we wait often depends on what we are waiting for.
When we wait in hope of what the Lord can do, we find strength to endure. Waiting can cause us to seek, search and ponder each and every minute that goes by. When those moments become filled with hope then strength arises. When we are waiting and disappointed because we are not where we desire to be then discouragement can become our constant companion.
There are so many lessons we can learn from waiting in the moment in hope for the next. Life is filled with waiting but so much can be gained when we stay in the moment instead of living disappointed or anxious. Hope opens the door for us to expect God to do what He has promised. His timing is perfect and waiting on God can allow our eyes to be opened to see His miracles.
